Studio Salvo

from the dredges of east biloxi arises a new studio, fueled by crawdaddies, lemonade, and floodwater. sweet judy's voice lulls us into a conceptual trance that is only broken by the comforts of ole baby blue.

Ol' Baby Blue Survives the Flood

According to Biloxi residents, the flooding that occurred last night was worse than any hurricane in the last two years. Hours of heavy rainfall led to nearly a foot of standing water in our neighborhood (including in Matt's car). And so, after arriving less than a week ago, we awoke this morning to aid in flood damage relief for local residents. This amounted to vacuuming water out of cars while their owners observed. We're beginning to better understand the relationship between residents of Biloxi and what has eventually become a permanent volunteer task force. Not to mention we now have some first-hand experience in the importance of every inch of "higher ground"...
